Growing up my family owned two dogs and many other small animals, but as an adult I, like many others, developed allergies. My husband and children really wanted a dog, and I too really wanted a dog, but because of my allergies we just couldn't have one.  I started my search for an allergy-friendly, non-shedding but hairy, fun loving, trainable, tolerant, medium-sized dog back in 1998.  Sounds like a crazy combination until I read about the Australian Labradoodles romping in Chicago in September, 2001. I went to their website and fell in love with this breed.

We purchased our first Labradoodle, Sydney of Tegan Park in April, 2002. She is everything I had wanted and needed for our family pet. Sydney was two in January 2004 and had her first litter in the Spring of 2004.

We  added a second Labradoodle to our family in August of 2003.   Rhapsody comes to us from Rutland Manor having her first litter in September, 2003.  Hershey Bar Kid and Marley Boy were our first Chicago born breeding dogs and have gone on to sire many litters for us as well as several other breeders in the United States. This year 2007 has brought us litters from our newest additions, Sydney's Chocolate Kiss, Lil' Punkin' and Lady Godiva. Each one of our new girls had beautiful litters this Spring and we look forward to their next litters.

My husband and I have six children: Janelle, Andria, Ashley, Nathan, Samantha and Carly.  Janelle has been living and working in real estate down in Naples Florida for several years now, Ashley graduated from the University of Iowa in May and is headed for California, and Nathan, our Soldier with the 4ID safely returned from his first tour in Iraq in December 2006 and was  married this past June to Ashley. Andria is multiply challenged and works at a nearby facility with other adults similar to her and enjoys a very full social and recreational calendar. Samantha has recently moved downtown (Chicago) with four friends to work and prepare herself for school next semester.  Carly is starting third grade this fall and helps to provide the care and socialization of our puppies. She enjoys drawing, singing, dancing and acting.

Our goal is to breed smart, healthy dogs, who are allergy-friendly and make great family companions as well as therapy dogs for those in need.
